jobwyre is still in active development, you're early. Expect changes, and the occasional rough edge.

Changelog

Notable changes to jobwyre, most recent first. Grouped by month — the current month starts open, earlier ones collapsed.

v4.0.0

September 30, 2026

New guides, more comparisons, an About page, and a simpler way to add your interviews to a calendar.

  • AddedA new About page explains what jobwyre is, how to say it, and who builds it.
  • AddedNew blog posts.
  • AddedSide-by-side comparisons with LoopCV, Careerflow, Eztrackr, Seekario, and Trello, next to the existing Huntr, Teal, Simplify, Google Sheets, and Notion pages.
  • AddedThe homepage now has a short "What is jobwyre?" section, and its feature grid mentions the installable app and the REST API.
  • ChangedAdding your interviews to a calendar is now one "Add to calendar" button with steps for Apple, Google, and any other calendar app. It also tells you that your calendar app decides how often it refreshes.
  • ChangedThe pricing table is easier to read: every value now looks the same, and the calendar and AI rows spell out how they work.
  • FixedThe interview countdown on board cards is more accurate: it now shows exact days for the next two weeks instead of rounding to the nearest week.

v3.9.0

September 28, 2026

jobwyre can now be installed on your phone or laptop like an app.

  • AddedInstall jobwyre to your home screen or dock for quicker, one-tap access. Look for the install banner or the install icon in the dashboard header.
  • Addedjobwyre now works a little offline: pages you've already visited stay available, and you'll see a proper offline page instead of a browser error if you lose connection. Live job data still needs a connection.
  • AddedA proper launch screen now shows while jobwyre opens on an installed iPhone or iPad, instead of a blank white flash.
  • AddedThe Usage page now shows your daily API and MCP read allowance, so you can see how many reads you have left today on every plan.
  • AddedThe pipeline chart on Statistics now tells touch users when it can be swiped sideways to see the whole flow.
  • AddedThe calendar and every chart on Statistics now show a loading spinner while your jobs load, instead of appearing empty first.
  • ChangedThe Usage page has a cleaner layout: each limit now reads as a simple count with how many you have left, unlimited plans are marked as such, and features outside your plan are greyed out with an upgrade note.
  • ChangedThe Usage page no longer has a "This week" filter, since limits apply per day or per month. Your plan's limit now shows on every filter that's left.
  • ChangedThe weekly applications chart now labels every week, with the month named under its first week.
  • FixedStatistics and the calendar no longer flash sample jobs for a moment before your real jobs appear.
  • FixedThe Usage page no longer flashes the wrong meters and plan buttons before your plan loads.
  • FixedThe first date label on the weekly applications chart is no longer cut off.

v3.8.0

September 26, 2026

Notes on jobs, a clearer job actions menu, and a smarter interview sort.

  • AddedJob details now has a dedicated Notes section, always visible, so you can add, edit, or delete notes right there instead of opening the full edit form.
  • AddedThe Offers and Rejections columns can now be sorted by "Has interviews", grouping jobs you interviewed for above ones you didn't.
  • ChangedThe job actions menu (Edit/Delete) in job details got a visual refresh, and now highlights its button while open.
  • ChangedRejecting analytics cookies now means no tracking cookie is set for you at all; Google may still see an anonymous, aggregated visit count instead of nothing. See the Privacy Policy for details.
  • FixedEditing a job that already had notes no longer selects all of the existing text the moment the dialog opens.
  • FixedA long company or role name in the on-hold-reason or offer-details popups now wraps onto multiple lines instead of getting cut off.
  • FixedSorting Offers/Rejections by "Has interviews" now orders interviewed jobs by how recent their interview was, and actually responds to the Ascending/Descending toggle.

v3.7.1

September 24, 2026

Small refinements to the kanban interview badges.

  • FixedThe upcoming-interview badge on kanban cards now says "today"/"tomorrow" for near-term interviews and keeps itself up to date without needing a refresh.
  • FixedA round marked "Awaiting decision" now shows that on its kanban card instead of the generic "in-progress" label.

v3.7.0

September 22, 2026

More reliable interview reminders, plus a few kanban fixes.

  • AddedKanban cards for an upcoming interview now show a relative time badge, like "in 2 days" or "in 2 hours".
  • FixedSome scheduled interviews weren't showing up in the notification bell, the interview reminders banner, or triggering reminder emails. They now show up reliably, along with the correct upcoming/overdue badge and sort order on the Interviews column.
  • FixedDragging a card into a new column no longer occasionally crashes the board.
  • FixedKanban card titles now truncate consistently regardless of company name length.

v3.6.0

September 21, 2026

Where you found each job, plus a flexible usage view.

  • AddedJobs now have a Source field, so you can note where you found each posting (LinkedIn, referral, company site, etc.).
  • AddedThe Usage page now lets you switch between Today, This week, This month, and All time to see your activity.
  • AddedOverdue interviews can now be marked Cleared or Rejected directly from the interview reminders banner, without opening the job.
  • AddedKanban cards now show at a glance whether an interview is upcoming or overdue.
  • ChangedThe Add/Edit Job form is easier to use on mobile, with clearer full-width fields for the key details.
  • ChangedThe applications heatmap, pipeline flow, and weekly trend charts are more readable on phones and tablets.
  • ChangedClarified in our Privacy Policy that account support staff can see counts of API/assistant activity (reads, adds, edits).

v3.5.0

September 13, 2026

A redesigned footer.

  • AddedEvery page's footer now shows Product, Resources, and Company links alongside our LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • AddedYour interview reminder emails now greet you by name.
  • ChangedJob notes can now be up to 2000 characters, up from 200.
  • FixedInterview reminder emails viewed in dark mode no longer show a barely-visible logo or an overly bright interview card and badge.

v3.4.0

September 13, 2026

Optional analytics, only if you say yes.

  • AddedYou can now opt into anonymous analytics to help us understand how jobwyre is used, by accepting analytics cookies in the banner at the bottom of the page. It stays off until you do, and you can decline instead with no effect on the app.
  • ChangedUpdated the Privacy Policy to describe this optional analytics cookie.
  • FixedThe Statistics page's charts no longer look oversized on a wide screen.

v3.3.0

September 12, 2026

A round of keyboard and drag fixes on the board.

  • ChangedKeyboard: Space now picks a job card or column up to drag; Enter, while a card is focused, opens its details instead.
  • ChangedScreen readers now announce which job or column you're dragging by name, not an internal id.
  • FixedThe highlighted column while dragging no longer flickers off when you're hovering directly over a job card.
  • FixedMoving a job to Offers or On-hold no longer visually snaps it back to its old column while you fill in the prompt.
  • FixedKeyboard dragging no longer skips past an empty column into the next one that has jobs.

v3.2.0

September 11, 2026

Simpler, jitter-free drag and drop on the board.

  • ChangedDragging a job to a different column now drops it at the top of that column, the same as changing its stage from the job's details. Reordering a card within a column still drops it exactly where you put it.
  • ChangedWhile you drag a card, the spot it will drop into shows as a plain outlined space instead of a duplicate of the card.
  • FixedDropping a job into another column no longer flickers or reshuffles the column while it saves. The card just appears.

v3.1.0

September 11, 2026

A tidy-up of the add/edit job form, and a cleaner card drop on the board.

  • AddedEvery field in the add and edit job form now has a clear button: an X next to Company, Role, Type, City, Salary range, Contact, Job link, and Notes wipes just that field.
  • AddedThe Job link field is now checked for a valid web address. If it isn't one, you'll see a note and can't save until you fix or clear it.
  • ChangedOn a new job, the Notes field starts hidden behind an "Add Notes" button so the form opens more compact. Editing a job still shows notes straight away.
  • ChangedWhile you drag a job card, the spot it will drop into now shows as a plain outlined space instead of a second copy of the card.

v3.0.0

September 10, 2026

jobwyre now has a blog.

  • AddedA blog, starting with three guides: how to track job applications through a long search, connecting Claude or ChatGPT to your board with MCP, and spreadsheet versus a dedicated tracker. Find it under Resources, or at /blog.

v2.9.0

September 9, 2026

New guide pages to help you get more out of jobwyre and the job hunt around it.

  • AddedA set of guide pages: what a job application tracker does, how jobwyre compares with other trackers and with a spreadsheet, and a free, formatted job application tracker template for Excel and Google Sheets.
  • AddedA "Resources" menu in the top navigation, and a Resources page, that gather the guides, comparisons, template, and FAQ in one place.
  • AddedBreadcrumb links across the site so it's clearer where you are.
  • ChangedUpdated the Privacy Policy: the cookies section now also covers browser local storage and spells out that your per-column board sort is saved only on your device, never sent to us.

v2.8.0

September 9, 2026

Sort each board column your own way.

  • AddedEvery board column now has a sort menu. Order a column by applied date, interview dates, company, or job match score, ascending or descending. Each column remembers its own choice on this device, and columns left on "Default" keep their drag order.
  • ChangedThe "Profile match" self-rating is now called "Job match score", and it shows as a pill next to the company name when you open a job.
  • ChangedYou can now clear a job's match score from the edit form with an X next to the field, instead of only being able to type over it.

v2.7.3

September 8, 2026

Search by city, and more at a glance in the results.

  • AddedBoard search now finds jobs by city, not just company, role, work type, or notes.
  • ChangedEach search result now shows the job's status, city, work type, and salary on a second line, so you can tell matches apart without opening them.

v2.7.2

September 8, 2026

Offers waits for cleared interviews.

  • AddedA job can only move to Offers once every one of its interview rounds is marked Cleared. If a round is Rejected or still has no outcome, the move is blocked until you set it. Jobs with no interviews are unaffected.
  • ChangedClearer labels and layout on the Statistics page charts, including tidier axis labels on the weekly chart, evenly sized cells on the activity heatmap, and a flow tooltip that follows your pointer.

v2.7.1

September 8, 2026

The board keeps up with changes made elsewhere.

  • FixedWhen your assistant or another device changed a job, the board could look stale until you reloaded. It now refreshes on its own when you return to the tab, and periodically while it stays open.

v2.7.0

September 7, 2026

Rate how well you fit a role.

  • AddedYou can now give each job a "Profile match" score out of 10 for how well your background fits the role. Set it in the add or edit job form; it shows in the job's details. Your assistant and the API can read and set it too.

v2.6.1

September 7, 2026

A speed and readability pass on the public site.

  • ChangedThe landing page loads faster: a lighter first download, the hero screenshot sized to what's actually shown, and the decorative mockups further down the page deferred until you scroll to them.
  • FixedFaint section headings and sub-labels in the pricing comparison table are now dark enough to read comfortably.

v2.6.0

September 6, 2026

A new Statistics page, and a tidy-up of tab titles and dialogs.

  • AddedNew Statistics page in the dashboard (in the sidebar, between Calendar and Usage): your search at a glance: status totals, a flow diagram of how applications move from applied through interviews to offers and rejections, a year-long activity heatmap, applications per week, and how long companies take to respond.
  • ChangedThe browser tab now names the page you're on ("Calendar | jobwyre", "Statistics | jobwyre", "Privacy Policy | jobwyre", and so on) instead of every page showing the same title.
  • ChangedEvery dialog and pop-up now has the same rounded corners at every screen size.
  • FixedOn phones, the time field when scheduling an interview could run past the edge of the form.
  • FixedThe delete-confirmation pop-up had square corners on phones instead of rounded ones.

v2.5.1

September 4, 2026

Newly added or moved jobs show up where you'd expect them.

  • FixedWhen you change a job's stage from its details view, or add a job from the form, or have an assistant add or move one, it now appears at the top of its new column instead of being buried by its applied date. Dragging a card still drops it exactly where you put it.

v2.5.0

September 2, 2026

A pricing comparison, a proper FAQ, and a livelier first run.

  • AddedNew FAQ page (linked in the footer): plans and billing, connecting Claude or ChatGPT, the API, calendar sync, and what happens to your data.
  • AddedA full side-by-side plan comparison on the homepage and the dashboard, so it's clear what each tier includes.
  • AddedYou can now connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client on the Free plan to read your board: ask about your search, interview status, and usage. Having an assistant add and edit jobs for you is a paid feature.
  • ChangedNew accounts now start with a populated calendar, not just a populated board. The example jobs include interviews spread across the current month, so reminders and calendar sync have something to show from day one.

v2.4.0

September 1, 2026

An accessibility pass across the whole app: clearer keyboard navigation and better screen-reader support.

  • AddedEvery button, link, and field now shows one consistent blue focus ring when you move through the app with the keyboard, so it's always clear where you are, including the dashboard sidebar and mobile menu, which had no visible focus before.
  • AddedA "Skip to content" link appears when you press Tab on a fresh page, jumping keyboard and screen-reader users straight past the navigation.
  • AddedMoving job cards on the board with the keyboard now announces what you picked up and which column it landed in, instead of reading out an internal ID.
  • AddedNew Accessibility page (linked in the footer) covering what's supported, known gaps, and how to report a barrier.
  • AddedA notice at the top of the homepage now makes clear that jobwyre is still in active development.
  • ChangedTurning on "reduce motion" in your system settings now also calms the app's animations and transitions, not just page scrolling.
  • FixedA job card's status is no longer conveyed by dot colour alone; screen readers now read it out.
  • FixedA job card no longer looks see-through while you're dragging it to reorder within a column.
