Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account. We don't receive or request access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.
• Job application data: the companies, roles, statuses, notes, interview details, and attachment links you enter into the app.
• API key: if you generate an API key, a random token is stored on your account to authenticate requests you make to the app's API.
• Calendar feed token: if you add your jobwyre calendar to any third-party calendar, a random token is stored on your account and used in a private calendar link so your calendar app can fetch your interview schedule.
• Preferences: small settings tied to your account, such as whether interview email reminders are turned on.
• Contact form submissions: if you use the "Get in touch" form, we receive the name, email, and message you enter, solely to respond to you.
• Billing info: if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe collects and stores your payment details directly; we never receive or store your card number. We keep a reference to your Stripe customer ID and current subscription status.

How it's stored

Data is stored in a self-hosted Appwrite backend. Your job application data (company names, roles, notes, interview details) is only accessible from your authenticated account; the app operator does not view it. We don't sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Account administration

For account support and abuse prevention (such as granting a trial, resolving a billing issue, or removing an account that violates our Terms of Service), the app operator can see your name, email address, profile picture, current plan, sign-up and last-activity dates, how many job entries are on your account (including how many were added in recent periods, such as the current week or month), and how many times your account has read, added, or edited jobs via the REST API or a connected AI assistant over a given period, and can delete your account. These are counts and dates only; the operator does not view the contents of your job board.

Third parties

We use a small set of service providers to run the app:

• Google: sign-in authentication only.
• Stripe: payment processing for paid plans. Stripe receives your email and payment details directly; we don't handle or store card numbers.
• Brevo: sends the "Get in touch" contact form and, if you enable them, interview reminder emails. Receives the email address and message/interview details needed to send that specific email.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: spam protection on the contact form. Processes your IP address and browser signals to verify you're not a bot.
• Upstash: rate limiting and usage-quota tracking for the API. Stores request counts keyed to your account, not the content of your requests.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's listed here.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser local-storage entries. None are used for advertising, and only one is used for analytics, which only sets a tracking cookie if you accept it in the cookie banner:

• Session hint: a marker set after you sign in, used only to skip rendering the dashboard for an obviously signed-out visitor. It doesn't grant access on its own; every page and API request independently verifies your real session.
• Sidebar preference: remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed or expanded.
• Board view preferences: how you choose to sort each column of your job board is saved in your browser's local storage, so the board looks the same next time you open it on this device. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
• Analytics (optional): if you accept analytics cookies in the banner, Google Analytics measures page views and site usage, tied to a cookie in your browser, so we can see what's working. If you reject it or haven't decided yet, no cookie is set and no data that identifies you or your device is collected; Google may still receive an aggregated, anonymous count of page visits (via Google Consent Mode) that can't be linked back to you. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.

Your data

You can delete individual job entries at any time from within the app. We retain your account and job data for as long as your account exists; we don't automatically delete data after a period of inactivity. To request an export of your data, or deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us using the details below.
