Add the connector
In Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client, add jobwyre as a custom connector / remote MCP server. Paste one URL or drop a small config block for clients like Claude Code.
Sign in and approve
You sign in to jobwyre to authorize the app and pick what it can do: read only, or read and write. Nothing connects until you say yes.

For clients with connector support, like Claude and ChatGPT. Paste your jobwyre server URL, sign in, and approve. No key to copy or store, revoke it anytime from the Connect your AI page.
Config file with an API key
For clients without connector support, like Claude Code or a hand-written config. Paste a short JSON block with the same API key you already use for the REST API.

It can't delete your board, change your plan, or touch your account settings, and it asks before filling in any detail you didn't give it.

The connector flow never exposes an API key. The config-file path reuses your existing key, regenerate it anytime and old configs stop working.
AI actions count against the same daily limits as the REST API. Reads share one generous daily limit of their own.

What is an MCP job tracker?
It is a job application tracker with an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can read and update your job board directly instead of you copying data back and forth. jobwyre runs one at jobwyre.app/api/mcp.
How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my job tracker?
Add jobwyre as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT using the MCP server URL, sign in, and choose read-only or read and write access. It takes about two minutes and there is no key to generate on the recommended path. Clients that use a config file, such as Claude Code, take a short JSON snippet with your API key.
Which plans include Connect your AI?
Read-only access works on every plan. Letting the assistant add and update jobs needs the Pro or Max plan.
Is this the same as the public API?
It's built on the same API and the same limits. MCP just lets an AI assistant call it for you in plain language, instead of you writing scripts.
Can it change my board without asking?
Only if you grant read & write, and only through the same validation the API enforces. It's prompted to confirm details it wasn't given rather than inventing them.
What does jobwyre see about my AI chats?
Nothing. The assistant calls your board; your conversation stays with your AI provider. jobwyre only sees the tool calls it makes.
